Embroidery Patches

Classic stitched patches, made to last.

Thread-embroidered onto a twill or felt base, embroidery patches are the most recognized patch style there is — textured, durable and built for uniforms, team gear and brand identity.

What makes it unique

Texture and tradition, done right.

Every embroidery patch is a series of small decisions — base, border, thread — that shape how it looks and wears over time.

Twill vs. Felt Base

Twill gives a crisp, modern finish; felt gives a softer, vintage look. We'll help you pick based on your design.

Embroidery patch specs and options
Specs & options

Built to your exact spec.

Embroidery patches are best for logos and wordmarks with moderate detail — bold shapes and clear lines translate best into thread.

  • Base — Twill (crisp, modern) or felt (soft, vintage).
  • Border — Merrow (classic rolled edge) or heat-cut for tighter detail.
  • Backing — Iron-on, sew-on, adhesive or Velcro hook & loop.
  • Sizing — Most patches run 2″–5″, sized to your placement.
Is this the right patch for you?

Best for logos with moderate detail.

Thread has a natural resolution limit — very fine text or gradients won't translate cleanly. If your design has intricate detail or photo-realistic color, PVC patches may render it more accurately. For bold, dimensional graphics, take a look at 3D puff patches.

Questions

Good to know.

What's the difference between twill and felt?

Twill is a tighter woven fabric that gives a crisp, clean base — the modern standard. Felt is thicker and softer, giving patches a vintage, textured look.

Is there a minimum text size for legibility?

Generally, letters under about 1/4″ tall start to lose clarity in thread. We'll flag anything too small during the mockup stage.

Can you match metallic or specialty thread colors?

Yes — metallic, neon and glow-in-the-dark threads are all available on request.

Iron-on or sew-on — which should I choose?

Sew-on is more permanent and better for items that get washed often (uniforms, workwear). Iron-on is faster to apply but works best on flat, heat-safe fabric.

How long does production take?

Most orders are produced and shipped within 8–12 business days. Rush options are available — mention your deadline when you request a quote.
